We built our MRI center from a patient’s point of view. We saw a need in the Tri-State Area for a high quality open MRI center that could deliver exceptional results to the ordering physicians but give the patient a comfortable environment. We realize that any medical procedure, even something as safe and simple as an MRI, can generate a level of anxiety in many people. From the minute you walk into the office you will be greeted by our courteous and professional staff. Our highly trained ARRT registered technologists take time to listen to your needs and concerns and make you feel comfortable during the test. Our MRI has a 270 degree open view that gives a patient more room than any other MRI we have found. During the test you can listen to music on our satellite radio or even bring in a friend or loved one to stay by your side.

Wide Open MRI is committed to ensuring the highest possible quality on every study we perform. The MRI system that we installed is one of the most technologically advanced pieces of medical imaging equipment in the Tri-State. Our Wide Open MRI offers physicians high quality imaging with some of the latest imaging techniques. As soon as a study is complete we digitally send our images on a special server that allows our highly trained radiologists to see the images quickly. This digital system allows our radiologists to make quick, accurate interpretations, which in turn allows us to get the results back to your physician rapidly -usually within 4 to 8 hours, sometimes within one hour for emergency cases. It is for these specific reasons that several doctors have come to know and trust Wide Open MRI for their patients’ needs.

accredited by the ACR

Wide Open MRI has been awarded a three year term of accreditation in MRI in both locations as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology.

The ACR, headquartered in Reston, VA, awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice.  Evaluations are conducted by board certified physicians who are experts in the field.  They asses qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of facility equipment.  The surveyors report their findings to the ACR's Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report.

The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, and nuclear medicine and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
